OK, sources.list.udeb has:

# This file is automatically generated, edit sources.list.udeb.local instead.
deb copy:/home/bubulle/src/debian/debian-installer/installer/build/ localudebs/
deb ftp://kheops/pub/mirror/debian unstable main/debian-installer

So, the mirror is my local mirror on the "kheops" host.

Looking at kheops, in packages.gz files, I see:

In
/mirror/debian/dists/unstable/main/debian-installer/binary-i386/Packages.gz:

Package: libvte9-udeb
Priority: extra
Section: debian-installer
Installed-Size: 696

Filename: pool/main/v/vte/libvte9-udeb_0.17.4-2+b1_i386.udeb

In
/mirror/debian/dists/unstable/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz:

Package: libvte9
Priority: optional
Section: libs
Installed-Size: 1496
Maintainer: Guilherme de S. Pastore <gpastore@debian.org>

Filename: pool/main/v/vte/libvte9_0.17.4-2+b1_i386.deb

Package: libvte-common
Priority: optional
Section: libs
Installed-Size: 482
Maintainer: Guilherme de S. Pastore <gpastore@debian.org>
Architecture: all
Source: vte
Version: 1:0.17.4-2
Replaces: libvte2 (<= 0.5.1-2)
Filename: pool/main/v/vte/libvte-common_0.17.4-2_all.deb

And the relevant files *are* in pool/main/v/vte...

I also tred by changing the local mirror to another (ftp.de.d.o) and
got the same result.

So, my problem is: what the hell could I do to have mr einformation
about what makes "the package uninstallable"....
