Previous OpenSuSE 11.0 install used 'ahci' but that's not on the list of loadable disk drivers!? I switched to tty2 to load it manually - afterwards installation continued without further errors. I will not have the time to verify this with daily build d-i as the machine is only a trial until next week, sorry. I did not get WLAN working yet - it worked in SuSE.
