Files in gdk/directfb in the 2.14.7-2 package actually differ from the
merge you have done on upstream GTK+ 2.14 branch.

After a new build with this directory updated, I can start the graphical
installer. :)  But from the quick glance I had those issues remain:
 * The banner is not displayed, instead I see the "broken image" icon.
   I might have missed something while building the package though.
 * Critical: scrolling does not work in GtkTreeView.  This is a real
   problem as many questions of the debian-installer are asked through
   GtkTreeView.
 * Graphical artifacts while scrolling a VteTerminal widget.

Sven, thanks a lot for your work, though! :)

Josselin, I think I would have been okay to have minor issues for now
but the scrolling problem really makes the graphical installer unusable…
