Comments/Problems:

Note: I have used the expert installation (the graphical installer was broken as reported in #557387)

1) User/password setup with a non-english keyboard configuration
In "User/password setup" the keyboard is not configured as selected. I have selected Italian keymap, but after reboot my passwords was wrong. I have used some not alphanumeric characters in the passwords. I think it can be best to have an edit box where you can write and test if all characters you want to use can be typed with the current keyboard layout.

Also others Italian people have had the same problem (I have ask on the italian-user mailing list).

Note: also in others installation section I have see that the keyboard was not set as Italian. Also I noted some very strange: in some edit-box the CapsLock was enable, but some characters was printed as lowercase and other as uppercase.

2) very strange problem with bootloader install
The first time I have try to install Debian all seem to go OK, but when I have to install the bootloader (grub) I have an error that say that HD0 is not ready. I have finished the installation process with "no bootloader" option. After with Debian installer or Knoppix I was unable to access the partition I have created and installed with Debian (I always use ext3). It look like it was not formatted (very strange). I repeat the installation from start (I delete the partition and recreate a new one identical to the previous) and this second time all go OK: the bootloader install without problem and the system was correctly installed.

I have had the same problem on the first install with an eeepc 1101HA and the second install was OK. Here I have used the testing install for i386 on a USB stick. Also here I have had the problem with the keyboard described in the first point.

3) grub menu
On that PC I have installed grub2 and there is also ms-windows (sigh!). In the grub menu was only present the two Debian selection. During installation grub has see the ms-windows partition.
I have used
# update-grub2
to solve the problem

Note: in the others installations I have done I don't have a ms-partition, so is the first time I had that problem.

Ciao
Davide
