Bug#542448: debian-installer: stops during boot on usb/scsi hardware detect

Package: debian-installer
Version: squeeze
Followup-For: Bug #542448

I have tried the amd64 2009/08/19 netinstall as well as the current
amd64 cd1. Both hang as reported. My motherboard is asus m4a78 pro, my
hard drive is sata as is my dvdrw, I have tried a supposed workaround
involving attaching at least one pata drive before attempting an
install, however this does nothing to fix the problem. Until this is
fixed, I am forced to run lenny, which installs without any problems.
