Unfortunately, I also see this problem and I can't install the new X
packages, since they depend on console-setup (or the smaller version of
it), but it just hangs there in the configuration phase, spawning new
processes and there is starvation in the installation.
BTW, I tested with many keyboard layouts not with "non-standard" and I
never had any success.
Thus, I'm raising the severity of this bug. If more information is
desired, please let me know.
