Bug#528993: Package: Installation Report

Quoting Pete Theisen (petetheisen@verizon.net):

> Configure network: [E] sees dsl router, connects to web but not local net

That's unclear. Did the install use the network and, if so, did it
work.

If it did, then the problem, if there's one, is elsewhere and not in
the installer itself.

Did the installer set a password for root and did it create a normal
user. If it did, then there is no problem in the installer itself.

Advanced use of nVidia cards is much out of the scope of the installer
and more something that has to do with X packages. Please note that
nVidia is (IIRC, I'm not that much in that hardware business) not
known for its friendlyness to provide open source drivers. For
advanced features, you might then need to get their non free drivers.

Most problems you describe do not pertain to the installer itself,
apparently, but more seem to be installation tuning, after the
install. In such cases, we often have no other option than closing the
bug report, except when there is a clear package which we can reassign
the bug to. But, for this, problems have to be made clear before...
