Bug#525209: Layout messed up in daily images

I just noticed that the layout is messed up in daily images:

 - There is no longer a space between the last item and "go back",
   which by itself looks ok: http://www.cyrius.com/tmp/di0.png

 - However, under some situations the "go back" item is not shown at all:

 - ... but it shows up when you go down the list.  Now the screen is
   messed up: http://www.cyrius.com/tmp/di2.png

 - Using a serial console, the screen is messed up by default:
