Network at first didn't work, so I've tried an unofficial image which included the experimental e1000 driver, needed for the Ethernet card to work. Once booted with that image, installation went like a charm! :) The only thing to note is: unfortunately I couldn't get my wireless card [1] to work with opensource drivers (bcm43xx), but only with ndiswrapper + .inf.
