Package: debian-installer
Severity: normal

I would like to add my own apt repositories early in the installation.
So when my repositories have newer versions of packages they will be
installed directly and I don't have to upgrade later.

The apt-setup component already has support for adding custom APT
repositories when preseeding is used [1]. Please see the installation
guide for details.

With the new upgrade option in pkgsel that means that any updated versions
of packages will be installed before the installation is completed.

It is unlikely we'll add interactive questions for custom repositories or
that we will add support for them during base system installation.

Adding support for extra/custom repositories for udebs (installer
components) is already covered by other BRs.

Cheers,
FJP

[1] Which means they can also be set up at the D-I boot prompt.
