Bug#482101: PPC Installer Init generated signal 4 kernel panic

I can not duplicate this on any of my Power Mac machines.

The installation CD will not boot, after loading the kernel, it always fails at:

init has generated signal 4 but has no handler for it
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
Rebooting in 180 seconds..

and it dies
