This is typically a case where the person who wants the functionality will 
most likely have to provide the patches if he really wants to see this 
implemented (or find someone else interested in working on it).

Note that this concept violates quite a few of the basic assumption in 
partman and thus may be hard (or too invasive) to implement in partman.

A possible solution could be an alternative (simplified) partitioner, which 
would need:
- to provide similar pseudo packages to partman in order to satisfy 
dependencies of later components
- be included in the menu _before_ partman
But at the same time that would effectively make it unsuitable to be 
included in the regular installation flow.

It would be far better if it could be implemented inside partman somehow. 
Therefore reassigning to partman-base (also for a lack of a better place).

Note that we may decide to close this BR at some point if no progress is 
made on it.
