At this point, there is a lack of evidence showing that this data loss was
caused by os-prober. There is, however, evidence that the RAID was in an
inconsistent state before debian-installer ever looked at it -- more
inconsistent than the d-i team was able to forcibly achieve in testing.
Since we no one seems to have any leads on a way forward on this issue, I
don't think it's reasonable to treat it as "critical". Of course, if
someone does identify a cause for this bug in debian-installer, it would be
reasonable to fix it at the next possible moment.
