Eh, yes sorry. Was writing from memory, but should have checked.

Well, whatever you prefer. "list" would be fine too. I suggested
"task-files" as the package lists would end up as files in the tasksel
binary.

The main thing is that I think it would be more consistent to have a
separate field that indicates the type instead one field having both
a "control" and a "content" function. To extract a list of packages for
the current "list" method for debian-cd I had to use:

for i in $(cat task.list); do \
   grep-dctrl -F Task -e "^$i$" /usr/share/tasksel/debian-tasks.desc | \
   grep-dctrl -s Packages -e '.*' | egrep -v "^Packages:"; \
done | sed -e 's? *??' | grep -v ^$ >> ./task-full-etch

(an extra grep to get rid of the "Packages: list" line), instead of just:

for i in $(cat task.list); do \
   grep-dctrl -F Task -e "^$i$" /usr/share/tasksel/debian-tasks.desc | \
   grep-dctrl -s Packages-list -n -e '.*'; \
done | sed -e 's? *??' | grep -v ^$ >> ./task-full-etch
