Package: installation-reports

Boot method: CD
Image version: copy of Sarge from www.linuxemporium.co.uk Date: 18/5/2007

Machine: custom built server ASUS P5GD2-X motherboardProcessor: Intel
Memory: 1Gb
Partitions: <df -Tl will do; the raw partition table is preferred>

Comments/Problems:
The installer didn't spot my SATA IDE disks only the main PATA IDE disk (Has
main WinXP parition).I was trying to install to a partition on disk3 of 4 as
I am trying to have multiple windows and unix installations for development and testing.

Am I doing the wrong thing (also have Grub loader from Fedora in place - do I actually need to do the hard disk install procedure - but it still needs to see the SATA disks) ?
.Thank-you for your help.

That is entirely expected as the Sarge kernel had very poor SATA support.
Please install Etch instead.
