With install you need to provide the _full_ url to the preseed file 
because URL expansion does not work. It will be loaded after you 
configure network.

If you can access the shell without problems after the failure, this is 
possibly not needed. But you will still need to add the "set -x" somehow 
_before_ the preconfiguration file gets loaded.

The boot debug shell allows to make changes _before_ the installer is 
actually booted, so you can for example enable debugging.
You just 'exit' the shell (2 times) to let the installer continue to boot.
