1) The LVM partitions need to have the correct partition type (8e)
2) If such partitions are found, you'll see an option "configure LVM" at
   the top of partman's main screen
3) After selecting that you will be asked if you want to activate existing
   volumes
4) If you then exit the LVM menu to partman's main screen, you should see
   the LVM partitions listed
