Bug#411552: please set a timeout in syslinux screen
tags 411552 patch
thanks
Here's a patch that:
- adds two beeps when prompt is displayed
- sets timeout to 5 minutes
Unfortunately I can't test it right now, since it needs real hardware and I
run out of blank CDs. I'll try this sunday if nobody beats me to it.
Btw, if someone wants to try, be careful when appliing the ^G hunk (no
copy-pasting).

At the boot prompt
you can either just press &enterkey; to boot the installer with
default options or enter a specific boot method and, optionally, boot
-parameters.
+parameters. Or if you wait a few minutes without pressing any key, boot
+will start automaticaly with default options (this is useful for machines
+with broken BIOS where keyboard doesn't work).
