Actually, bootup process doesn't even load the kernel. As I indicated in the first message, keyboard freezes immediately after "Press F1 for help, or ENTER to boot:" prompt. This means that kernel haven't been even loaded: afaik it is LILO, GRUB or some other bootloader which is responsible of displaying that prompt. So the problem is not a missing or incorrect module. -- Sami Laine @ GMail
