Then there is probably some option missing in the kernel or a module that
is not being loaded. If you (or someone else) can provide us with the
information what option or module this would be, we'll be happy to fix
this issue.

Actually, bootup process doesn't even load the kernel. As I indicated
in the first message, keyboard freezes immediately after "Press F1 for
help, or ENTER to boot:" prompt. This means that kernel haven't been
even loaded: afaik it is LILO, GRUB or some other bootloader which is
responsible of displaying that prompt.

So the problem is not a missing or incorrect module.
