After discussions on irc, e-mail and BTS, I have come to the conclusion that "suomi" is the best translation. Rationale: this is the official way the name of the finnish language is written in finnish. The translation "Suomeksi" works in this particular Debian context, but to be consistent with the Debian web pages "suomi" is better. Additionally, since I was told Debian localechooser is used as upstream for some other uses of language names, it is best to use the official language name. Could this bug be reopend to get this change applied? -- Tapio Lehtonen tapio.lehtonen@iki.fi http://www.iki.fi/tapio.lehtonen
