Comments/Problems:

I cannot boot the ISO images above. CD was burned with CDBurnerXP 3 under Windows XP Pro. Also Tried on a Toshiba Laptop (Intel Centrino DUAL Core), but the CD didn't boot either.

Robert is entirely correct. Please use the images for i386 or, if your 
system supports 64-bit kernels, the images for amd64.

you have tried a correct image.
