hello joey,
ok i talked to phil about this: my understanding of shell scripts is
brain-dead.
phil explained that 0 equals success, and 1 equals fail, therefore ! 1
is...
my brain hurts.
the bottom line: it's perfectly correct, and my bugreport is complete
rubbish :)
