the last file. Today it's OK.

Comments/Problems:
Since the installer uses the 2.6.18 kernel Debian usually installs
smoothly on my system, but the installations won't boot. I have
installed every 'daily built image' since last Tuesday (when the new
kernel was added) and none of the successful installations would get
past the point where the boot messages read "Begin: Waiting for root
file system".
With the installed kernel (2.6.17) my CD drives and network card will
not work, but booting from HD should not be a problem.
Strangely, the graphycal installer is not graphical anymore since the
new kernel was introduced. After 'installgui' I get text based dialogs:
much like the old installer, but fringed by weird ascii.
