The issue is not restricted to G5 imacs, but to all G5/64bit powerpc hardware
from apple. This means also the G5 powermacs, and the G5 XServers.

So, i would use instead : On G5 Apple machines, ...

I don't remember the comment exactly, but notice that :

  * I think i said something about G5 apple machines, or should have, there
    are no G5 ibooks or powerbooks.
  * Most of the modules are only present in the powerpc64 flavour.

Ideally, a check for 64bitness could be added, altough i had some user suggest
that some of those modules would be useful on ibooks also. I am not fully sure
as i didn't investigate at the time.
