Hi, I propose to add the following and attached patch to the errata: [Issues on powerpc] + <li>on G5 imacs the fans are very loud, switch to a different + console and run <a href="http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/d-i/trunk/packages/rootskel/src/lib/debian-installer-startup.d/S05fancontrol-linux-powerpc?op=file&sc=1">these commands</a> to make them silent.</li> If you say go ahead, I can commit it myself. Otherwise feel free to reword it, but this annoying issue should be documented properly. BTW, http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/errata doesn't mention how to report bugs to the errata - in the bottom it even tells me to report problems to debian-www@. What _is_ the correct way? BTW2, I also suggest to truncate the comment in S05fancontrol-linux-powerpc to the first four words of it - ibook's and other fans dont go to aircraft levels and the filename suggest it's executed on all powerpc machines.. regards, Holger
