Slight weirdness with retrying CD/DVD reads

As reported on IRC over the weekend, but possibly missed then.

00:20 < Sledge> joeyh: testing the DVD (finally)
00:20 < Sledge> joeyh: slight weirdness from slightly flaky old DVD drive here...
00:21 < Sledge> it failed to read a sector off the newly-written DVD and d-i came up with the option to retry
00:21 < Sledge> chose to retry several times, with no more success
00:22 < Sledge> VT4 showed the log of the kernel complaining about a bad sector read and anna complaining about the md5sum failure
00:22 < Sledge> then just lots of error reports from anna, with no apparent retries in the kernel
00:23 < Sledge> mounting/remounting the DVD by hand on another console did the right thing
00:23 < Sledge> maybe on a retry that should be tried, to make sure that any/all cache underneath is flushed
00:24 < Sledge> otherwise in situations like this the user-requested retry may be useless
