There is currently at least one RC bug open that will prevent that and I've seen various other issues flash by over the past week that looked to me like regressions or important issues (though maybe not RC). So, it is too early to start switching lkdi packages. But if in the mean time you can do anything to help get the kernel packages into shape... So, I'll wait until we hear from the kernel team release coordinator (or whatever Frederik likes to call himself these days) that 2.6.18 is ready for testing. I will then check with RM if that is OK with them as well and only then consider when to make the switch for d-i. The sooner the better and if soon enough we can still use 2.6.18 for RC1. Cheers, FJP
