Bug#388598: GRUB doesn't install

Machine: VMware server 1.0.1 virtual machine
Processor: Real: Pentium Dual Core
Memory: Real: 1024 MB, Virtual 512 MB
Partitions: /dev/sda1 ext3

Output of lspci and lspci -n: doesn't matter

Comments/Problems: Installation of GRUB failed

The problem is that the installer tries to install GRUB with /sbin/grub-install, although grub-install is located on /usr/sbin. A symbolic link did help to circumvent the problem for the time being.
