Package: debian-installer
Severity: wishlist
if for some reason my debian installation fails (due to power outage,
bad media, etc), the installer should be capable of parsing the logs
from the failed install, and pick up where it left off.
i understand that this could be a rather difficult feature to
implement, which is why i've rated it as very wishlist.
thank you for your consideration.

This is indeed technically extremely difficult with a very high risk of
resulting in a broken system in corner cases.
Anyway, a large part of the installation (hardware-detection and such
would need to be done again anyway.
Also, the log is kept in memory for most of the install and will therefore
be lost on loss of power.
As this is very unlikely to be implemented, I'm closing the report.
