That could be a hick-up in the daily build.
My advice is to retry with a recent build of the debian-installer

The hardware detection software depends on hardware IDs.
Recent electronica like PCI and USB devices does have such IDs.
ISA cards, like Realtek-8029, don't have it.
You have the manual load the kernel module.
(something like `modprobe ne2000` at VT2 )
