Bug#372829: Debian installer fails to install network interface cards : Marvell 88E1111 and netgear FA311.

Other developers: is looking at discover-data HW database and add the
relevant info still worth it now?

You being able to list the interfaces with lspci does not mean
that D-I can easily recognize them and, more, load a driver for
them. For instance, if the driver for such interfaces is non free,
there is currently no chance that we can use it.

Actually, the very same lspci could have been done in VT2 of D-I and
give the same result.

Please note that your lspci only lists ONE Ethernet interface card,
not two.


Ubuntu developers==D-I developers when it comes at the
installer. That's why your sentence sounds funny.

Are you entirely sure that this driver is the one driving one of your
interface cards�? If so, which one of both�?

Why?  We want to be able to interact with our users and not do wild
guess about the way to contact them. If you contribute in a public
place, you should expect your address being "exposed", sorry for this.
