Do you know which kernel modules are needed for that hardware?
Are these modules present when you switch to VT2 and look in
/lib/modules/.../kernel/drivers/message/fusion?
Are these modules loaded (use 'lsmod | grep mpt')?
If not can you load them manually and are the disks then shown when you
restart partman?
What is the output of 'lspci' and 'lspci -n' for your system (available
during installation)?
