Most likely an incorrect image was used...
Please only use the links for daily built netinst or businesscard (or
"other") images on http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer.
The links to CD images should lead you to:
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/beta2-test-build/powerpc/iso-cd/
A possible cause may have been that the mirror you use for the website
had/has not yet been updated.
