Not exactly. 

When you use a daily ISO image, and unless this is the netinst image,
you have to choose between stable, testing and unstable when you
choose the mirror you install from.

This question is not shown in default installs, so it you did a
default install, you used the default, that is testing.

So, the exim4 package which was installed is the version from testing.

When you use the netinst image (the 110MB image), you don't have this
choice and you install testing.



I'd like to know what happens if you use a businesscard image (30MB
image) or a netboot image (the small 5MB image) and booting with
"linux mirror/suite=unstable".....
