Package: localechooser
Version: 0.24
Severity: minor

Currently for some languages the installation of packages needed to=20
support that language after the reboot are scheduled for installation in=20
the main localechooser script.

IMO it would be better to move these to the prebaseconfig script so they=20
will not be scheduled for installation if the user later goes back, runs=20
localechooser again and selects a different language that does not need=20
the extra packages.
(This would also improve maintainability of the localechooser script by=20
limiting it to its core functions.)

Probably all "pkginstall" calls could be moved to the prebaseconfig=20
script.

Note that the way localization-config is installed/run should probably be=20
changed anyway when that is moved to 1st stage.

Closes: 316003 343497
Changes:
 localechooser (0.26) unstable; urgency=low
 .
   [ Christian Perrier ]
   * Add Khmer languagelist entry (commented)
   * Move language-dependent packages installation to prebaseconfig.
     Closes: #343497
   * Install console-terminus for languages requiring it in languagielist
rather than hardcoding the list of languages in the prebaseconfig script.
   * Remove the current locale from the list of locales proposed as
additionnal locales so that users can't uncheck it.
     Closes: #316003
 .
   [ Colin Watson ]
   * Move locale generation to a post-base-installer hook so that later udebs
such as pkgsel that chroot into /target have a working locale.
   * Install locales (or belocs-locales-*) if localechooser/supported-locales
is set, as well as if the primary locale is not C.
 .
   [ Frans Pop ]
   * Also move installation of localization-config to prebaseconfig script.
