I don't know if a string is needed for the "Screenshot" button too,

Yes, we should "the right thing", even if it is only temporary.

I've copied inside gtk.c the set of functions (three) introduced into GTK 2.6 that are needed to display an image instead of the "screenshot" text inside the screenshot button. Since GTK is released under GPL, as debconf is TOO, i suppose there should no legal problems in including GTK code inside the GTK frontend, is this correct? I'm also planning to add to /usr/share/graphics the "camera" icon [1] that Gnome 2.10 associates to the "capture screen" menu item: i think this icon has been released as GPL too, right?

I have tried to implement the translations myself, but only managed
to crash the frontend :-/
Please use the patch below for the templates file.

ok, i'll update templates usign your "debconf/gtk-screenshot-saved" patch ("debconf/gtk-button-screenshot" should be no longer necessary as the "camera" icon replaces the text)

I have tested the button with current code and it seems to work
fine otherwise. I have only one comment.
IMO the name of the screenshots is too long (although the idea is
nice); using the name of the component + a sequence number should
be enough.

ok, i'll also update the GTK frontend to user shorter file names

ciao

Attilio
