Re: how to build the libs for the GTK fe

The two scripts in the wiki page are quick hacks; I created one unique dirty

works.

I'd like to know if compilation works on other arches (besides i386)

i've added to the wiki page

http://wiki.debian.net/?DebianInstallerGUIBuild

a general introduction that explains how the frontend works, where we are, were are we going and the problems that are still to solve.

The document should have the following structure

1)General overview (by me, already existing)
2)How to use the automatic building system (by Frans Pop, to do)
3)how to compile the frontend against GTK 2.8.x rather than 2.0.9 (by Davide Viti, already existing)

ps

is the tarball containing libraries needed to build the GTK FE still needed? does Alastair has managed to create the gtk udeb for developement?
