Also, will that work for AP's? Often they will be the dhcp server for the network. Although I guess you can require the presence of a separate dhcp server for installation... This also means that this function in effect provides configured-network. Anyway, I think you are deviating quite a bit from the original network-console here. Why not add a separate udeb in the network-console package that has the correct dependencies, menu item, provides, etc? I feel that would be cleaner than forcing it into the existing udeb.
