Hi Lee,just saw your install report and came across the same problem. You mentioned a "known problem with the Linux kernel" that prevents d-i from finding the cdrom drive. This actually happens for me only when using kernel 2.6, using a 2.4 it went through just fine. Googling a bit, I couldn´t find more information on the kernel issue, do you have a link or other reference?
