Date: 1 May 2005

Method: Using CDROM

Machine: IBM Xseries 335

Processor: Xeon 3.2

Memory: 2GB RAM

Root Device: IDE

Root Size/partition table: 28GB

Output of lspci and lspci -n: N/A

Comments/Problems:
On booting from cdrom, the boot first screen appears with the boot prompt on pressing enter or choosing any flavor and press enter,
it says Loading ... initializing and then hangs for ever
I've tries the compact flavor, the bf24 and the default one.
all gives the same. I've 9 machines of this type 5 IDE HD and 4 with SCSI hd and LSI raid controller.
2 of the IDE installation succeeded but the others gave the same hang problem. My notice is the worked 2 has a special type of cdrom but the other has different type.
