Comments/Problems:

Initial boot: not really an error, rather an annoyance. I wanted to install
sarge via the remote console (iLO). By default iLO handles only text mode,
so I was prepared to type "debian_installer/framebuffer=false" at the boot
prompt. I have placed the CD into the drive, went to my workstation, and
rebooted the server. Everything was going OK until ISOLINUX loaded and
displayed initial banner (isolinux.txt + splash.rle), at which moment the
remote console client stopped transmiting screen contents. Fortunately,
I was able to "blindly" press F2 and get to the installation help, which
is pure text. Remote console started working again.
So, how about replacing the picture of Debian swirl by an ASCII art logo?
If d-i provides the option of working in pure text mode, then switching
to graphic mode before user has chance to say "I cannot handle graphic
mode" is rather surprising.

GRUB: incorrect disk order. Assumed that (hd0) == /dev/hdb, (hd1) ==
/dev/cciss/c0d0, (hd2) == /dev/cciss/c0d1, etc. Incorrect menu.lst was
generated, and grub installed itself on the wrong disk.
ProLiant servers always boot off SCSI disks, so hdb should be last. I had
another copy of grub installed earlier on /dev/cciss/c0d0, and I was able
to use that to complete the installation.
Please note that configuration with an extra IDE disk is not supported
by HP (only CD-ROM is supposed to be attached to IDE interface).

After reboot: serverworks.o IDE module not loaded. /etc/modules contained
only "ide-cd ide-detect ide-disk psmouse", and system was using some
generic driver to talk to hda and hdb -- no DMA transfers, slooow.
I have added "serverworks" at the front of /etc/modules, and now I can use
"hdparm -X69 -d /dev/hdb" to get some decent performance.

There is no psmouse.o kernel module; its presence in /etc/modules causes
harmless error messages during boot.
