Comments/Problems:

the boot aboarded with a wrong magic on cramfs quite early in the boot process. It also happens with rc3 but not with the snapshot of the 19 March 2005, with
which I installed a machine and am currently installing another. I'll post a success "bug" post once done as it will contains the output of lspci and such of the very same machine where rc2 and rc3 didn't work.
