Comments/Problems:
1) Initial boot only worked after I changed the ramdisk size by giving
the ramdisk_size parameter. The image could be configured to give this
parameter automagically.
2) aboot seems to require a recent firmware. The d-i image aboot worked
fine, but the installed aboot crashed very early (before displaying any
message). After upgrading the firmware to the latest version
(http://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/Alpha/firmware/archive/xp1000.html), the
installed aboot worked.
