Comments/Problems:
1. Wrong font chosen by installer ?
Polish characters displayed incorrectly after reboot.
In /etc/console-toools/config I had:
SCREEN_FONT=lat2-sun16
After change to lat2u-16 everything is OK.

I just did a full base system install in Polish (thankfully, I know
d-i enough to answer the questions blindly)....

The display was NOT wrong after rebooting. It was wrong at the end of
the install BEFORE rebooting (what we call "2nd stage"....before
which there is a reboot, but the install continues...with correct
Polish display prompting you for passwords, for instance).

This is because base-config resets the terminal to what it was before
it is called, thus always ISO-8859-1.

This is a known base-config wishlist bug, which will be dealt with
post-sarge. It affects all non ISO-8859-1 installs.

However, after rebooting the system, the terminal was displaying
ISO-8859-2 characters right (the polish "l" with a crossing slash for
instance).

I can put screenshots online to prove this..:-)

http://www.perrier.eu.org/~bubulle/di-polish-2nd.png=A0:=20
     display *during* 2nd stage-->CORRECT

http://www.perrier.eu.org/~bubulle/di-polish-endof2nd.png=A0:=20
     display *after* 2nd stage but no reboot
     (I just logged in as root and ran "dpkg-reconfigure exim4-config")

http://www.perrier.eu.org/~bubulle/di-polish-reboot.png=A0:=20
     display *after* 2nd stage but *after* a reboot
     (Again, I just logged in as root and ran "dpkg-reconfigure exim4-con=
fig")
