The timeline has us finishing udeb changes for rc3 by Monday, and pushing all the rc3 udebs to sarge on March 2nd. So we need to decide which of the udebs currently in sid need to reach sarge for rc3. I'm using the http://people.debian.org/~joeyh/d-i/testing-summary.html to keep track of these decisions, anyone can add annotations there. In summary, the following udebs will not be updated for rc3: cdebconf 0.74 post sarge changes linux-kernel-di-m68k-2.6 0.66 Not yet used, post sarge. localechooser 0.04 post sarge preseed post sarge A decision still needs to be made on these: base-installer 1.13.3 I'm still not clear on whether the chrp-rs6k 2.4 kernel change has been tested, and what other udeb/kernel package changes it depends on. elilo-installer 1.3 Probably safe but not strictly needed for rc3. kbd-chooser 1.10 This was supposed to fix usb keyboard problems on sparc, but seems not to. The Ukrainian keymap change is probably worth putting in. languagechooser 1.45 I'm a bit unsure of why we're adding so many new languages to this list at this point. Have installs with all these languages been tested? net-retriever 1.03 probably safe, but not needed netcfg 1.08 The 1.07.1 changes are ok for sure. I'm unsure about the 1.08 changes. Some nice things, some little bugfixes; is it well enough tested and worth the risk though? os-prober 1.03 We need at least the fix for the non-ascii boot.ini bug.
