To be able to identify the problem and get to a solution, we will need the 
following information from you:
- the installation method you used;
- the exact version of the installer you used;
  (the _full_ url of the image you downloaded for the install and the
   date of the download is usualy best)
- the (gzipped) syslog for the installation, which can be found in
  /var/log/debian-installer on the installed system
