Bug#289366: debian installer problem

Method: Installed from a dvd made with jidgo, boot from dvd, dvd is fine, i installed no a desktop and it works fine

Machine: Laptop Acer Aspire 1660
Processor: p4 2.8
Memory: 512 
Root Device: IDE 40gb ultra ata/100
Root Size/partition table: 8.5 GB on / 524 on swap

Comments/Problems:
After install the lpatop reboots and i get the following error : pivot_root No such file or dir. /sbin/init: 426 cannot open dev/console : no such file) Kernel panic.!, can't do nothing, cant get a shell, i installed on a desktop and it ran fine, how can i fix this if i can't get a shell ??
