This sounds like a problem in your X configuration. Maybe both a hardware 
cursor and a software cursor are being displayed.

If you want to follow up on this issue, this report should be reassigned 
to the relevant X package.

Thank you for your installation report. As far as Debian Installer is 
concerned it can be considered closed as there were no problems.
