Bug#286184: Package: installation-reports

Package: installation-reports

Debian-installer-version: 14 Dec 2004 http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/sarge_d-i/powerpc/rc2/sarge-powerpc-netinst.iso

uname -a: Linux pb1400 2.4.27 #11 Sun Dec 12 15:55:40 EST 2004 ppc unknown

Date: 17 Dec 2004 ~21:30

Method: Created boot kernel by combining /install/powerpc/2.4/initrd.gz from CD with kernel compiled from
bk://nubus-pmac.bkbits.net/linuxppc-2.4-nubus. Used MkLinux booter to boot this kernel and used the above
CD in an externally attached SCSI CD drive. Used debconf/priority=low command line parameter as first
attempt with default was unsuccessful.

Machine: Apple PowerBook 1400c/133

Output of lspci and lspci -n:

N/A - This is a NuBus based system.

Comments/Problems:

Loading the installer modules complains about not finding kernel modules, but message seems
harmless as I'm using a monolithic kernel.

Partitioning gives message about not having information about the default type of partition table
for this architecture, but otherwise works just fine.

Unable to install boot loader which is no surprise considering the installer would need to know
to mount the HFS partition and copy the kernel as 'Mach Kernel' into the MacOs System Folder Extensions.
I did this manually after rebooting into MacOS.

I now have added incentive to fix the driver for my wireless card!!!
