This is probably due to a known issue with the daily builds that is 
already being worked on.

Yes, these floppies would be expected to work in your situation.

Hmm. You have been reading the old installation manual for Woody. A 
working version for the manual that goes with the new installer can be 
found on http://d-i.alioth.debian.org/manual/

The space requirements have also been updated in this version.

Your other comments are minor usability issues that have been suggested 
before, but that we can not do anything about at this stage in the 
release process. However, we will keep them in the back of our minds.
